Do You Want to Be Made Well?
Wisdom and insight for achieving true spiritual, psychological and emotional healing

Everyone who is in any way suffering or afflicted wants to escape the pain of the moment and feel better as quickly as possible. But as strange as it may sound, not everyone who is suffering really wants to be healed and made well. This to say that not everyone who is suffering is really willing to make the important changes and take the often difficult steps necessary to achieve true and lasting healing.
This is especially true in the very complex areas of spiritual, psychological and emotional suffering. While everyone who is suffering wants to feel better, feeling better for a time is not the same thing as true and lasting inner healing. Ordinary clinical counseling and medication might offer the former, but they cannot offer the latter.
The articles at this website are offered to guide the reader toward achieving true and lasting inner healing from the standpoint of the biblical Christian worldview. They contend that only by correctly identifying the root causes of deep personal dysfunction and consistently applying the principles of the Christian faith can true and lasting inner healing be achieved and maintained.
These articles are not about “getting religious,” but about discovering and living out the only way of life that actually works on all levels. If you find yourself balking at examining your problems in a Christian context, then you may just be wanting to feel better without making a commitment to real change. You may also need to ask yourself whether or not you are really serious about being healed—to ask yourself, “Do you want to be made well?” If you truly want to be made well, then prayerfully consider the posts that follow and move toward your inner healing as the Spirit of God directs.
